Structured Investment Products
Structured investment products are types of investments whose value is related to the value of the underlying asset, such as stock indexes, stocks, currencies, cryptocurrencies, precious metals (gold, silver…), energy sources (petroleum, electricity…), goods (wheat, corn, cocoa…).
One of the most popular structured investment products is an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF). By investing in ETFs, the investment risk may be dispersed depending on the investor’s personal preference (choosing the market, sector, stock index, expected market growth or decline etc.). The price at which ETFs are traded most frequently corresponds to the market value of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) per share. There are several types of ETFs and even those who trade with a leverage (aim is to achieve multiple times higher yields than the growth of the underlying asset, which can also be reflected through multiple losses if the value of the underlying asset drops).
